code 21 ??

code 21 ??

if im not mistaken code 21 is for the ignition switch right? or the whole ignition system? if so about to get one with the lifetime warranty so i wont have to worry about that sob again lol.

It is for ignition system, not for the switch, the ecu searches for feedback from the coils so you can get a code from the improper coil feedback and or the igniter condensor which is a small box on the ignition harness by the front valve cover.

Does the car start and run? If so, does it idle smoothly? If it idles smoothly, it's probably not coils.

In addition to the coils and the condenser, it could be the crankshaft sensor on the crankshaft pulley, CKPS (REF).

yes the car starts and runs, it idles normally in drive, sumtimes with a small miss at times. but in park it goes up to 1000 rpms and fluxuates up and down.

Start by checking the throttle position sensor.

I just replaced the whole throttle body, I couldnt get the old one quite to specs so I just replaced it seems to be alot better. I may have a bad coil, Ive already replaced 2 on the rear and noticed a big difference in pickuup/speed!

idle air control valve....imo. check that an give it a good cleaning/replacing.

maybe because now i am gettin a crank, but no start issue all the time now, engine jus turns over and i hav to hold the gas pedal down for it to start smh
