I have a weird loud clicking coming from behind the climate control panel on my 1995 maxima. The only setting it doesnt click on is when I have the vent setting set to front vents/feet. If I have it set to any other setting such as windshield vent/feet or feet only for examples, it will click. So I tend to keep it on the front vent/ feet vent setting because the clicking is annoying. After driving for awhile, I change the setting to any other setting and the clicking isn't there anymore. During the clicking, I do get air coming out of the vents selected. Has anyone else ran into this weird issue?

Yes...http://www.ehow.com/how_8144635_chan...e-control.html Sounds like maybe you have something stuck in a vent somewhere.Originally Posted by Inline6Silvia
Is it pretty simple to remove the climate control panel?

I wonder if the clicking is the motor that moves the doors inside the ducts, like it can't find the correct spot.

Good link. Thanks. I don't believe there is something stuck in a vent. The clicking is consistent when it is clicking. And It doesn't click all the time. It seems like when the temperature in the car is warm, the clicking seems to stop.Originally Posted by 2brosgixxer

You can get to the mode door motor without taking anything apart to check it.
Get the car to make the clicking noise and put your finger on the motor. If it is cycling, you can feel feel vibrations. You might be able to see the linkage working id it is moving enough.
Look at the center console from the driver's footwell.
