95 max auto climate control.

Is the 95 maxima auto climate control interchangeable with the later models. ive seen where the later models 96 and up have larger buttons and i wanted to swap mine out for the woodgrain one.

I have a 98 SE, and originally had the one with the "AUTO / ECON / OFF" buttons together on the left side of the controller...My stereo was stolen and so my Auto AC controller...I've replaced mine recently and found out that the connectors didn't match when tried to change it to an Auto AC controller with the one that comes with big TEMP buttons forming a circle (Red arrow/Blue arrow) on the left. They seemed pretty similar but the connectors were different. I recommend you to borrow the AC controller you want from a buddy (Even go to the junkyard, they won't charge you for test fitting it), before buying it...

I ended up paying 40 bucks to get exactly the one that my MAX had...Maybe these two types of AC controller are the only ones that don't match, but to be safe, it's better to test fit and then pay.

Auto climate controls are the same for:
95-97
Then they changed them for 98 and added the AMB button in 99, which are interchangeable 98-99.

All you would have to do is push the pins out of the (95-97) connector and install them into the (98-99) connector, not too bad. Are there any different components besides the ambient temp sensor on 98 and up? I thought about doing this before I swapped my woodgrain...

I guess I shouldn't be surprised I was lied to.
I had a PayPal dispute with that seller.
He has since disappeared.
Sorry about that, my bad.
