Delete 1995 round EVAP canister

My car does not have the typical rectangle EVAP canister. My car has a cylinder shape EVAP canister. My car also has no Canister Purge Control Valve:

I have deleted the cars EGR system already. I plugged up the EGR hole on the exhaust manifold using this nissan plug part:

My question is can I delete my EVAP giving my setup? Here is my idea:

However I am not sure what to do with my 1995 Canister Control Solenoid Valve:

If it is possible to delete the non-California 1995 round EVAP canister what do I do with the existing 1995 Canister Control Solenoid Valve. Can I just disconnect all three connectors on my existing 1995 Canister Control Solenoid Valve while leaving the electronic harness connected and call it a day?

Thanks.

PS: I am doing this because I cant find a round EVAP canister and also I have already deleted the EGR so why not this round EVAP canister.

I feel that you should leave it alone. This system prevents gas fumes from building up in the fuel tank.

What do you expect to gain by removing this?

Well most of the time I can smell gas fumes. Pretty sure the EVAP is causing the issue. I have already replaced the fuel filter. I would replace my cylinder EVAP canister if I could find a decent price for it.

EDIT 01 : I just did the 00vi mod if that makes any difference.

After driving the car I smell gas fumes, not cool. I just did a valve job so i know its nothing internal. I also replaced the fuel filter so thats not the problem either.

Are you sure its the evap system and not your fuel sending unit that's causing the smell?

I can check the two tomorrow.

Maybe I can use the rectangle canister in place of the cylinder canister? Both have the same number of plugs.

Yes, its the plastic thing that hold the fuel level sender and fuel pump. It loves to crack and leak fuel.

In order to smell fumes, something has to be open to allow the fumes out. The canister is the beginning point for outside air that is sucked through the gas tank by engine vacuum. The canister is filled with charcoal pellets to absorb fumes that might drift out when the engine is off.

I guess that the fuel sending unit in the tank in not your problem because the smell of gas would be very strong inside the car. I've had this happen to me.

What is more likely is that you have a rubber hose that brings the gasoline to the engine and/or fuel rails that is leaking. It has developed a hole so small that the gas evaporates before you can see a wet spot. If the hoses are no longer soft and flexible, replace them.

I don't see why there is a smell of gas and you would want to remove the entire EVAP system. Find the source of the vapor and address it. The EVAP system is not the cause and the setup you have has very little sensors and hoses...
