OK ill try and make this short. It was cold end of December I was driving to the store. it started fine as I was driving it started to lose horse power I mashed the gas and it started to run normal again I went to store didn't turn car off, halfway back to my house it lost power again and would only drive 25 MPH sometimes gaining power than just died tried to start it crank no fire. Pulled it home ran diagnostic on it. These are codes I pulled

1005 egr solenoid

0308 closed loop control fault (left bank)

0503 upstream o2 sensor or circuit fault (right bank)

0303 upstream o2 sensor (left bank)

0606 cylinder no.3 misfire

0407 crankshaft pos. Sensor (ref)

Those are what I got. So previously I had done a tune up several months prior to this happening changed plugs, oil&filter, pcv valve, fuel filter & air filter. Then water pump went out changed that. When the car died I did diagnosis bought new coil pack for cylinder 3, new crankshaft pos. Sensor, new battery. Still cranks not starting. Checked fuel pump it primes. To check if I had spark sprayed starting fluid in throttle body it ignited but kicked back out like a backfire. My friend said my catalytic convertor could be clogged not allowing the emissions to escape. Now I'm stumped and any information would be greatly appreciated

Thanks

95 maxima 5 speed cranks but won't start. December 30 the day it happened I was going to the store it started as usual I got to store left running came out and drove fine a little over halfway home it lost horse power wouldn't go over 25-30 MPH I mashed the gas it gained power again then shortly after lost power and then just died completely. Tried to start crank but no start. Pulled it to my house next morning tried to start crank no start ran diagnostic by reading led flashes and got

1005 egr solenoid
0303 upstream o2(left bank)
0407 crankshaft pos sensor(ref)
0503 upstream o2(right bank)
0308 unable to obtain closed loop(leftbank)
0606 cylinder no.3 misfire.

6 mo. prior to this I changed plugs, oil &filter, pcv valve, fuel filter, coil pack on cylinder 3 & air filter. 3 mo. changed water pump oil and filter ran good. snowed one day drove it and then what I said earlier happened so changed crankshaft position sensor, checked fuel pump it primed, new battery it has spark. I'm stumped as what it is. I'm thinking camshaft position sensor maybe or crankshaft position sensor (pos) could be faulty or dirty. Any information will be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Fix the 0407 crankshaft position sensor and the 0606 misfire codes and probably the car will start. Possibly the O2 codes will go away once you have all 6 cylinders firing.

Already changed crankshaft (ref) one by crank pulley and ignition coil on cylinder 3

Things to check.....what plugs you using? NGK I hope. If not get them.

EGR...could be carbon built up and causing valve to stick open....causing vacuum leak inside of UIM.

Its a shot and worth a try.
