Could anyone tell me why the light for the emergency brake stays on when i turn my car on. Its like the brake is pulled, but it is not. Someone told me that it could be a sensor of some sort. Any help would be helpful.

That dashboard warning light serves two purposes.
1) Parking brake is applied.
2) Brake fluid reservoir level is low.
See your Owner's Manual for futher details.

Check your brake fluid reservoir and replenish as required. A low level may indicate a leak or that your brakes are worn to the point where pad replacement will be required soon.

Just replaced mine due to the same problem--front brake pads are too low, so the brake reservoir fluid level sinks down lower, providing for a incorrect reading of the brake system. But you probably just need to replace your brake pads. Fixed my problem
