Is the torsion bar rear adjustable?

Is the torsion bar rear adjustable?

I thought by nature that torsion bar setups are usually adjustable. Can it be stiffened up on the 4th gen?

The car rides on springs, not torsion bars.
What do you want firmer?

I'm with this guy. Aren't the se's supposed to have a rear adjustible sport suspension?

The only torsion bar in a 4th Gen Maxima is the one that assists the trunk lid.

Not standard. Maybe there was something optional.

A torsion bar is made out of spring metal and is supposed to twist. I hope #12 in your car isn't twisting.

You forgot about the other one - the sway bar in the front suspension.

Actually the rear beam and trailing arms do twist. It's like a huge anti roll bar.

Nothing is adjustable on the rear of an A32. Want a firm ride? Install KYB struts. Want to cut down on body roll? Install a rear sway bar. Want to adjust toe? Bend the beam. Want to change your roll center? Install a panhard bar.

Whoa!

On page 3 of that fsm, it says #5 is the 'torsion beam' and page 8 says #12 is the 'torsion beam'.

What gives?
