'Hack' into ECM

Is there anyway to get the data from an ECM? I don't want to break anything. Just want to get some info.

You have to be way more specific than you "just want to get some info"

There are a few obd tools out there that can read just about anything you need...

I want to get the info for speed. The data maps or math stuff that calculates the speed from the vss. Same with rpms.

Why on gods green earth do you need that lol

That info I know nothing about, but I'm gonna GUESS that you won't be able to get that from the stock ecu. Lol forgive me for not having any useful info.

Do you want to save the info? or just want to see it when you're driving? for the latter you could always get a scanguageII

He is trying to build a gauge cluster from scratch, but has no idea how to go about it; yet has created a thread gauging interest and buyers.
