Parking Brake Boot

Like the title says I have a simple question that I just can't seem to figure out.
Has anyone had any experience with eBay emergency brake boots?
I have bought two and I just can't figure out how to get these things on the little wire frame thing without having fitment issues.

First of all, how would you suggest securing the boot to the wire frame?
I just dabbed a little super glue to get it nice and stuck on there, lol.
But when I slide it over the e-brake handle, if i put the wire frame in where
it belongs, the leather doesn't sit right on the handle, either causing the e-brake
to always be slightly engaged (1 click) or causing the boot to rip out of place when I pull the handle up anywhere more than half way.

This seems like it'd be so easy and nobody else has seemed to have trouble with it judging by the lack of results when using the search.

My MIL sewed mine onto the frame. She wrapped it around the wire and stitched it. stuff stretches, especially when warmed.

You get the metal bracket and you fit it in right at the bottom of the boot, use gorrilla glue or some sort of really tough and strong glue, use that on the inside of the fabric and wrap it around the metal. once you wrap hold it to make sure the glue will make it stay. after its all dried up, you have to force the bracket in, it took me a good 15 minutes to put it back in but i ended up getting it. just make sure the glue makes it stay and that you wrap it around the bracket.

I used hot glue. No problems.
