So the sensor for my egr valve hasn't worked since I've purchased the car and I'm just wondering how important it is that I fix it? Is it something I can wait on? (I'm a little low on cash and desperately need to fix my brakes shocks and struts soon)

 

Btw I've put about a good 7-8000 miles on my ride so far and it's auto

 

EGR is a minor emissions related issue. Even if you decide to never ever fix it, your car will be fine.

 

will it pass inspection?

 

In NY state, anything that sets off the CEL will fail inspection.
