Swapping a 95 iacv into a 99 Max
Okay, So I swapped in a 95 ecu on my 99, thanks to whlimi's writeup http://forums.maxima.org/4th-generat...p-success.html
and all I get is a ticking sound from the iacv. Thecar would start but will not idle, I had to keep my foot on it just to maintain engine rpm and not have it sputter and die. I know it was starving for air. Then I notice that I kept hearing a ticking from the engine bay and I traced to the iacv, and I remembered a while ago that the 99 iacv being a bit different that it has only two connections and the others have three. Is there a way that I can splice a 95 iacv into a 99 harness or what?
I found this thread: http://forums.maxima.org/4th-generat...1995-98-a.html
But it doesnt really shed any light on how to wire in the purple fast idle solenoid, is it possible?

I picked up a 1995 IACV today from the jy, going to try to wire it up using the 1995 ecm but with the 1999 harness. I did notice that on the IACVs, there are two wires that are on different pins ( Yellow=#122 on the 1999, but it needs to be #115 on the 1995) just like GY/Y=#115 on the 1999, where it is #122 on the 1995 ecm. I don't know if that would make a difference as to why, when I plugged in the 1995 ecm, the 1999 IACV was ticking. I also checked for continuity on the purple solenoid on the 1995 IACV and I traced the Y/B wire to basically ecm grounds. The other wire (Y/R) didnt have continuity on any of the ecm harness pins. So this must be a relayed wire I guess.
Either I'm wasting my time here, of the 1995 ecm iacv portion is fried, which I really hope isnt the case.
