The end has come...

My time in the max has come to an end. One morning I was headed to work and it took a few more cranks than normal to start, it started, drove to work. Time to leave work it wouldn't start. Ordered a new ckps, it fired up. Didn't drive it for a few days, then took my daughter to piano lessons, it wouldn't fire up. Finally started after messing with the ckps. Parked it. Tried to drive it somewhere it wouldn't start. Changed ckps multiple times, filed down the ground, switched other ckps, coilpack, and ecu. Not getting spark. I did electronics in the military and always worked on my car. It never left me stranded until this year. So we have to part ways.

I will probably do a mild part out, nothing major since I live in apartments and you know how those managers are. Parting out the mods. Turbo feed pipe and down pipe will stay on the car. I would give up the whole car minus the wideband and water injection kit, since those will be used on the next project.

That's too bad about your max. I know I wasn't happy when we had to let our 4th gen go. It was parked on the street and someone reaching for their phone slammed into it.

Obviously the CPS isn't the problem.
Did you just throw parts at it or did you trouble shoot, check for codes, used a scanner?
You "did electronics" in the military, (not sure what that means) did you measure the CPS and check the signal and supply voltage? Had you done that, you would have only played with it once.
Parting out a car simply because it ran yesterday and didn't start the next is foolish.

Thank you for your concern. I've been troubleshooting and reading search threads on here about it for a month. No start also means no codes can be collected from sensors that have run errors. 0505 all the way. "Electronics in the military", means I know how to read a schematic, and how most circuits work. I stated the normal obvious culprits. I actually think it is a main harness problem, and it is not worth the trouble to keep. I found a couple shorts, fixed them with the hopes it would start, only to be greeted by no start. The writing is on the wall. Either way whatever the problem, I've kept the car running since 2001 and it's just about that time. Anyone is welcome to make an offer before I part it.

He's not referring to the 'P' code from a scan tool.

Either leasing a 2013-2014 Veloster Turbo or get a 02-03 BMW 325xi and redo the cooling system.
