So I recently converted my 96 maxima to a 5speed. I am hqving trouble gettin ride of the ecu codes as it is still shooting all of the auto transmission codes. So with that being said my question is how would I go about getting rid of thses codes so I can run this thing through inspection and get the max on the road. I had someone tell me that I just needed a manual ecm and that would solve my problem. Being as how this part has become almost impossible for me to find.. I was hoping that someone would have a suggestion on how to sol e this problem. I need some help... I am seriously trying to bang some gears asap..lol...

There are at least two people selling more than one manual ECU right now.

You need a 95 5spd ecu, and I have one

 

people sell them on here all the time, not sure why you are having trouble finding them.

the codes aren't an issue for the operation of the car (though they may be an issue for inspection or something like that). nothing about the auto ecu will prevent you from banging gears.
