what can i do to win? do i stand a chance?

I have a 93 maxima gxe 3.0 160 hp and 182 torque. My friend has a 1997 honda accord 2.7 170 hp and 178 torque. We raced i always beat him off the line for just a bit but he pulls on me right way and is ahead of me for half a car length? Can i beat him if i keep on trying? Both auto

Should probably include that you are racing on a closed track, so no mods ban you..

But I assume both cars are stock? If so, why not add some stuff like I/Y/E. How well are the cars maintained?

You might consider making sure that you maintain your car better than he does. A car with less nominal horsepower that is tuned properly may have more real power than a car with more nominal power that does not run well.

Well my car barely has intercooler fluid and needs its oil changes
