Is there a mod to install heatpads? in our seats?

OR do I really gotta buy the whole seat from the AE maxima and put it in? From what I heard, they installed the harness for the power in our cars that are SE but didn't get the winter package. So all i need is the heat pads and to punch out the blank parts on my dash to install a switch.

Head or heat? I assume you're wanting to add the heating pads to the seats. Those are put on between the leather/cloth and the seat padding. You'd have to remove the fabric to put them on, and it's a pain in the ***.

I would imagine it would be easier and nicer to just throw in heated seats...

Okay than. How much are the heated seats? lol? So many people have done mods on here like crazy. There is not doubt in my mind that someone hasn't done this yet.

The mod is simple. Find a set of heated seats and switches at you local LKQ or here in the classified section. Install them and enjoy.

Well, it's not quit that simple. There is some custom wiring involved in order to get the heated seat switches to work, as no OEM harness is hidden or tucked away like the foglights or windshield reservoir sensor harnesses. It's best to get as much as the harness/plug as possible from a junkyard car that has heated seats and splice it in.

At the least, you'll need the heated seat switches. I also scrounged up the actual plugs that connect to the heated seat switches and the plugs under the bottom of the seat. The rest was just plenty of wiring. Make sure you tap a "switched" power source or kiss your battery goodbye.
