97 Max Starter Sig Fuse Slot Location?

1997 Max

I took out the starter sig fuse to check it, and then like an idiot I couldnt remember which slot it goes back into. As one of them is empty. Slot 35 or Slot 36. Which is it? Could someone have a look at their car haha.

Thanks

Do you not have a fuse box cover? It should clearly illustrate fuse locations.

Per the FSM, you look good:

the fuse panel cover doesnt show the empty slots

thanks for the fsm page!

i notice some of the fuses in that diagram are different compared to the ones in my car. is that a different year? it would appear i have some fuses in slots that arent designated for anything lol

That's from the '97 FSM.

My 97 doesn't match the FSM drawing, either. My car is the el cheapo GXE with automatic. I have all fuses except for 30 & 31. I have a 7.5 amp in both the 35 & 36 slots. I'm guessing that it has something to do with the production date, assembly plant and options installed.

When I looked in the power distribution diagram, fuse 35 isn't listed. Fuse 36 is listed as being used solely by the built-in phone option. The starter circuit for the manual trans car uses fuse 33, the auto trans car does not.

What were you trying to do?
