Maxima or Cefiro

Hello to all, i am wanting to purchase an A32 but are not sure whether to get a maxima or a cefiro, to me they basically look like the same car. I live in new zealand and the cefiros come on 2.0, 2.5 and 3.0, of course i would like to go with the 3 liter but have heard that the cefiros have a bit more power due to the different manifold , does anybody know what the differences are and any thoughts on this and what would be the better model to purchase would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

Go for the 3 liter Cefiro. As you mentioned, it has the better manifold, which will give you approximately 30hp more than the regular intake manifold.

Here in the US, said manifold is a semi-rare manifold that has been imported in by several people/companies and is somewhat desired.

This is the special manifold you speak of, correct?

Thanks, yeah i was thinking the same, with a y-pipe and good flowing muffler plus a k&n cold air intake should make it a flyer, shame they don't come in manual only the 2.0 and i think some 2.5's did.

If that's the right cover, than that's the right manifold...

In the US where we only got the 3.0, they had 5 speed manual option from 1995 to 1999......so you should be able to find 3.0 manuals as well.

My car is a relatively rare 5MT I30.....the I30 is the US is the Cefiro in the rest of the world.

never ever seen a 5 speed 3.0 cefiro only the 2.0 versions, even maxima manuals are quite rare here in New Zealand seen like 2 for sale in the last 3 or so years, that's ok though i would be happy with an auto.
