'97 Maxima, just getting it on the road. The turn signals haven't worked since I got it. Figured it was the flasher, replaced that, still no turn signals. Checked the fuses, fuse 11 looked bad, but still no change after I replaced it. Decided to replace the bulbs, figured that was long shot, but out of other options at this point. Replaced the rear bulbs, and don't see any way to get to the front ones, but still, no blinker and no lights. All other lights work.

Prior owner installed a different radio, and for reasons unknown cut the harness that goes to the clock and rear window defogger, can't see how that would cause a no turn signal fault. Fuses 8, 23, 30, 31 and 35 are empty, haven't found what they go to yet. I suppose the next step is to break out the meter and see if I have a hot feed to fuse 11, and power to fuse 14 when the ignition is on, but if anyone has any input, I'd appreciate knowing it. check the hazard switch, if it is unplugged/faulty, the turn signals dont work

If you've got access to a FSM, I'd read what your missing fuses are for before I knocked myself out with a probe.

Pretty sure that hazard switch is about a foot from the stub of the nearest remnants of that harness. Probably a good call. Thanks, klobbersauraus.

checked my factory book that comes in the glove box, surprised there isn't a fuse listing in there. The Haynes manual does though if you have one.

Your owner's manual (glove box) won't include that info.

Factory Service Manual (FSM) or other quality repair manual will have it.

The turn signals are powered through an ignition switched 7.5A fuse #14. The hazards are powered through a constant 10A fuse #11. Everything runs through the hazard switch. When the hazard switch is off, power goes though it to the combination switch. When it's on, power goes to the flasher unit. If the hazards and signals don't work, it's probably the hazard switch itself or a fuse or wiring issue before the switch. If it was something after the hazard switch, either the signals OR hazards wouldn't work, not both (unless it was the flasher relay, which you already replaced).

Does any other function controlled by your multifunction switch (i.e. signal stalk) NOT work?
