I have the general idea of performing a compression test, but are there any Maxima specific issues?

I have a FSM, but just wondering if there are any tips that people have found from doing them...

I did, didn't find a whole lot...just a bunch of threads that say "Did you do a Compression test..." or, I just did a CT and got these numbers...

 

take all the plugs out and your fuel fuse out.
then screw in the tester and crank the car about 5 times.
then move to the next and do the same.

 

Some say you crank it 5, some say 10, some say crank until it doesn't go up anymore. All depends on what source you look at. The main thing here is that you keep it consistent and that all your numbers are close together.

 

I was told that the minimum PSI should be 143 psi, and factory spec is 185 psi.
