what rims do u have right now??? I think you'll like the handling of 17 inch rims.....and your not going to suffer too much when it comes to acceleration.....why get the stock rims?? get sum konigs or enkeis or sumthing like that if u want to save some $$$ STocks are HEAVY!

Would you believe the stock 17x7 wheels (45 mm offset) from a 2002 Altima is 10.273 kgs each? Without the tire & valve, just the rim. Isn't that a bit heavy?

i have konigs that are heavy..... but not that bad. I did notice the bigger wheels slowed my car down alot... i think it mainly is the rolling resistance..the bigger rims you get the slower your car will get...im about to get 18s and i really think my car is gonna be slow now

My 95 SE has 15s stock and is slightly faster than when I put my 17s on. I have Raptor Sport Fiber rims 17X7 and w/ the tires they weigh 47 lbs. The car is a little slower with em on, but the handling improvement more than compensates for that. Also, aside from the track most of the racing I've been involved w/ has been from either a rolling start, or through windy roads and exit ramps - so I'd rather have the 17s any day.

Medicsonic actually ran faster on his 5th gen SE rims... so the answer is theoretically you should be slower, but God knows what will really happen.

There are alot of variables in it. But when people say they felt slower how much slower aer you actually talking about?

I just put a set of 17 inch rims and tires on my 97 I30t. I don't feel it slowing me down at all. And the 17 inch rims really helps on handeling.

i put the 17 inch 2k1's on my max two days ago they are heavy i give you that but ive opened it up on WOT there is a slight difference but the car still pulls hard..and ive very satisified with them because i got them for 300 wrapped in new falken rubber it saved me alot of cash..plus its worth the looks you get sometimes by people that would have never thought putting 5th gen rims on a 96..

I think there were traction issues with the new tires on the smaller rims, or something.
