07+ Altima and 09+ Maxima motors have HR heads with DLC coated lifters, composite plenum, fine spray injectors, M12 spark plugs.

Clearly back in 95-99 multi port fuel injection was just new sense! |

They are nice cars, they look good, have sporty feel. I still own a Maxima - 02 SE 6 speed, but if I decided to sell it in the future, next car wont be a Maxima. I just do not see an incentive to buy 04+ Maxima. 95-03 is where it's at.
Just picked up a 95 from C3 Auto Group in Plano Texas, 84k miles, super clean with barely noticeable interior wear. Hope to enjoy this one for at least ten years as well! |

If only those FWD variants came with a better oil pump and a bottom end like the RWD HR:

As if crimson reds are all over the place......crimson reds were 1999 Maxima SE-Ls only. ^^^Turbobink has a truely rare, and beautiful, 4th gen.
Thank you very much for that wonderful compliment. I very much appreciate that. |
I considered purchasing another 4th gen after this one. These cars are pretty good, not too hard to work on or fix, has a lot of forum support. The 3.0 responds well to boost and is a blast to drive in that state.

i don't understand why some of you guys have had 3 or 4 of these and i'm still on my first one. i figure take care of her and fix as needed and keep the mods at a minimum so you don't go overboard. ( ahem, wizard :wall: ) allthough i like all the creativity of the members over the years. chrisman is gonna love this, and so will tigersharkdude. as she was back in "05 before i picked maxy up!! :bgrin: http://i173.photobucket.com/albums/w...axima05013.jpg
I would love to buy another 4th gen, but with the cars nearing 20 years old god only knows how bad the PO care was. At least my family has owned my 1996 since birth. Zack Zack |
