204,xxx miles how can I get some power back?
So I have a warpspeed y pipe and 00vi that is going to be installed soon so obviously that will boost performance ... I guess my question is how can I get my engine to perform like it used to or closer to what it is used...
Any services or flushes or additives or parts or maintenance that I guess will give. The pep back to my engine?
Yes I know a tune up
I hear you can add a gear to an auto transmission to make it accelerate faster?

Others may chime in, I hope they don't tell. That's how we stay one car length in front of all the Hondas on the road.
Here's a hint: Look closely on the shifter for a little button...

Do a normal maintenance tune-up, which I think you alredy have done. New o2's couldn't hurt. If you have deep pockets replace all the ignition coils, if they are old or original. IMHO, the rest of your origonal stock power will depend on how much compression your motor has managed to maintain over the years.
As far as your transmission goes, adding a gear is not a possibility, LOL, what do you want double overdrive? That gear would be some sluggish. I don't even thing its possible to re-gear these transmissions to move the powerband range around. Due to the fact that there are no gears in a cvt tranny. Do yourself a favor and reasearch how a cvt transmission works. You can however, replace the shift silanoids. For better and smoother shifting.

That's a well kept secret here on the org. Who told you that? They should be tared and feathered at the next meet and we shall have to ban you now that you are aware of this... Have your car scanned for cel codes. Mine had a bad knock sensor. It did not trigger a cel light. It eventually surfaced when the cel lit for another reason. The knock sensor replacement added (or restored) a lot of power.
Otherwise, oxy sensors might be old or lazy. How many miles are on the spark plugs?
A K&N air filter made a real difference as well
