So I gotta throw on my 00vi and I got to thinking I want my 97 maxima to be around forever lol... This year holds a lot of sentimental value so obviously I know it's Probly going to outweigh the amount of what the car is worth but that doesn't bother I want this car to stay with me as long as possible... My question roughly ( i know prices aren't going to be certain based on region and shop) but what would be a decent price for an engine rebuild and tranny rebuild?

There are 9 currently available with 15K to 25K miles running from $850 to $950 out of Kissimmee Auto Salvage in Kissimmee.

Trannys with less than 30K are running $600 to $700.
