I have oil leaking into the coil well on my 96 maxima, I have changed the valve cover gasket and well seals but they did not solve the problem. I would appreciate any ideas to get this fixed. All the other wells are fine no oil at all in them.

Can you shine a light into the well to see if there is a gap at the top between the well top and the seal that is not present on the other wells that do not leak?

Also, I remember feeling along the inside well surface to gauge any distance and check for leaks between the well top and the seal.

IIRC, the last time I changed spark plug tube seals I used aftermarket, and one leaked. I ended up putting in Nissan OEM. And make sure you install them the right way. I forget whether the opening goes up or down. There's a thread about that somewhere.

Troubleshooting

I'll try both using a light and checking for cracks as soon as I am back home thanks.
