Maxima Performance Parts

Does anybody know of any websites or companies still selling performance parts for my gen four maxima. I know JWT has cams and a few other things but I am looking for some internal parts, performance manifolds, throttle bodies. I would love to supercharge but finding anybody that has a complete kit is becoming increasingly more difficult. I don't want some ebay garbage made in china thats going to blow up and or cause more damage to my engine then its worth.

I am not taking the easy way out. This is my first car that I bought when I was 18 and have been driving to hell and back since 2001. I am not just tossing it out to join every other person who gave up on their max for the dime a dozen evo , sti , supra and the like.

Buy a used sc kit on this forum. They are crackhead dirt cheap and you get a lot of bang for your buck. Or a turbo if that's not enough. Get some coilovers, some wilwood brakes, lightweight rims, sticky tires, etc... Perhaps a little reading will open up your mind to the options.

They are a lot of option for modding your car. Cattman, NWP, and Stillen have parts for the 4th gen. I am not aware of anybody making internals for the VQ30 though. Good luck and make a build thread for your ride.

I haven't seen any kits at crackhead dirt cheap prices. Usually the cheaper kits are missing a bunch of stuff.

You can pretty much count Stillen out. The only performance part they still make for the 4th gen is the underdrive pulley. And Cattman is pretty much done with the 4th gen crowd too.

Thanks. I am going to give them a call tomorrow and see if they have anything else in there design pipeline for my car other then the Phenolic Thermal Intake Manifold Spacer Kit, and Engine Torque Link Bracing Kit.

I was told that a 2000-2001 upper intake manifold would direct bolt on without any other changes in wiring or ecu change, and make 25whp. He gave me a PDF file to check out showing how to do the entire VQ30DE-K swap but am not looking to do all that just the upper intake manifold. Thoughts, Ideas? Worth the time and effort?

I saw on their site that NWP provides porting services for the 3.5 that looks interesting. I bet they will provide porting for a 3.0 on request. I like the idea and I wanted to port mine -- but just ran out of time. At some point I might send an extra intake set to be ported in advance to minimize down time.

Also, I think we have a member that is making/selling torque bars. I sure like the NWP torque bar on Max #2.

The 00vi is not direct bolt on. You have to do more work than just swap the intake. There are tons of threads and a write-up on it here.
