Hello, all. 1995 Max SE, 230K miles, manual trans. Running in 1st gear engine bucked and quit, but would restart and run. Did this a couple of times, then ran fine for a few miles. A few minutes later, restarted and symptoms returned.

Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) are:

0102 - Mass air flow sensor circuit
0302 - EGR function
0303 - Front heated oxygen sensor (left bank circuit)
0304 - Knock sensor circuit

To my knowledge, the only prior repair of any of these was replacing the mass air sensor several years ago. I cleared the codes to see if just one will come back, but it hasn't yet after about five miles and car is running fine at the moment.

Any clues as to the one most likely source of the symptoms, given these multiple fault codes? I'm trying not to wait for an actual roadside failure before repairing.

MAF sensor again. Check the connection, make sure it's secure and there are no broken wires at the plug. None of the other error codes would cause your issue.
