Does the 1996 SE Auto have a top speed limiter? What do they normally top out at in stock form?

 

The only 1996's with limiters are GXE's without C&C package.

All I have to say is that guy needs to stop picking on auto Maximas Show him what a 5spd will do and good luck in your race.

 

The Auto was bone stock as well. His car has every bolt on including gutted cat, headers, etc.. I have no idea how fast one of these modded non boosting altimas are?

Lets just say I am still having a hard time believing his story, but who knows??

I think that with your mods you shouldn't have much of a problem, but just depends on the driving and if he has some other mods that he hasn't mentioned

 

If you read the thread he is now trying to get me to race a 2k2 5spd instead that he says is his as well. I want to run his 1st gen first and then his "buddies" 5spd 2k2 3.5. I would go right now but he has to get his car etc....

 

It might be surprising to 5spd guys, but the auto still has pretty good pull at 100+ mph. I know it might sound strange, but at 100+ mph, my car seem to pull even stronger. And yes, this is without the SC, which isn't in my car anymore.

 

Well my car isn't stock either and from what he says they were pretty even. Should be interesting...

 

I don't think its going to be interesting at all. KA24 is a weak motor. I think you are going to beat the pants off him.

I am at very least a decent driver.

I am not surprised, I have had both an auto Maxima, and have a 5spd now... Even still, it is a new world with a 5spd
