cd player problem

cd player problem

Ok so I got a wire harness from Walmart so I could put a aftermarket deck in my Max so I did everything I was supposed to but now wwhen I plugged it into the deck it's not turning on , you hear the cd eject motor kick on for a second an that's it , and on the new harness I have a black wire with white stripe that has nowhere to connect to , please help me someone

That sounds like the factory amp ground wire. What kind of radio are you installing?

Is this black/white stripe wire part of the connector that plugs into the radio or is it part of the Metra adapter that plugs into the Nissan wire harness?

Also, What year is your car? Are you replacing a Bose or non-Bose radio?

Scosche NN032? I have this adapter from Wal*Mart, and I don't have the Black/White wire connected as the directions said not to. It is listed as ;

6 wire plug:White Black
6. Black/White = Display Lighting Ground, Not Used.

My stereo works fine.

Did you connect the rest of the wires using the harness adapter and stereo instructions? How did you connect them, solder or crimp? I have seen people try to twist and superglue. Not very bright, but its worth asking.

Did you have factory Bose?
