does anyone know if the stillen b pipe in conju=nction with the stillen s/s muffler will get me a decrease or increase in low end and or high en torque and hp.
i know stillen is expensive but i dont care.

 

Well, I put the Stillen intake on first. Then I did the B pipe and SS muffler from Stillen at the same time. I guess you could say it added more torque and power from around 3K on up. So mid-range I guess. It's more audible at lower RPM (1.5K to 3K). The car also responds better at higher speeds with both with the intake. Stillen is a lot of money though. I'd talk to the other guys first about cheaper priced upgrades with similar power gains. I wish I would have checked around first.

 

I have the same Stillen set-up as amb4081 on my 96 GXE, intake, "B" pipe and SST muffler. The change in responsiveness is astounding. I drove this Max stock for 4 years. Came to Cali and went over to see Stillen and had Sam their top tech install. The Max is now a real growler...it has a very distictive and aggressive sound from both intake and exhaust....especially when you nail it. It screams. Be advised though....this combo is loud....the system drones between 2K and 2.8K at highway speed on my set up....but, the stock resonator was removed when they installed the "B" pipe.
