Electrical Problem

Hello. I have a 4Th Gen Maxima 95 Just Replaced The alternator and replaced the alternator fuse! But there's a problem the car only charges when I accelerate but once I let go of the gas and press brakes it drops from 14 V to 11 ,10 , 9 but if I put it on neutral and rev it goes back up to 12v and climbs the higher I rev. Also the battery light turns on and off when I'm on the interstate. Someone told me it could be the harmonic balancer but I'm not sure. I'm trying to see if there's anything I can do before I send it to the mechanic shop again. I have videos to better demonstrate it I will post a link

It sure sounds like you may have gotten a bum alternator.
You should check your battery connections for corrosion. Then maybe check your body ground and double check the alternator connections. If those are good you may need to take that alternator back to Autozone to be checked out.

About all you can to is make sure that the small 2 wire connector is plugged into the alternator tightly. If it is, you have a bad alternator. Remanufactured alternators seem to have a bad track record, but they are still better than the new alternators that are made in China.

I took it to auto zone and advanced and they checked the alternator and it came back fine . It's just strange to me .. But I think I will have to take It back to the mechanic shop and have them do the alternator again. I have life time warranty on the alternator .

The tests that the parts stores do are far from 100% comprehensive. I've run around in circles because I believed them.

Is the drive belt tight and snug? A loose drive belt might only catch the alternator pulley at high speeds.
