Springs lower, not shocks/struts.

Re: Re: Question about struts

BUT if you're planning to lower, your stock struts/shocks will not last long.

So if you're going to get springs or coilovers, make sure you invest in a good set of shocks/struts. AGX are adjustable, probably 'among' the best for the buck.

Thanks to the recent discussions, I'm going to get AGX instead of Konis. Cheaper, too.

WOnder whether AGX has lifetime warranty like the Konis ... hmmm

depends on how much u lower ur car, personally 2.0 inch and lower i would get chamber plates, you can get away without them if u got sprints tho. if ur gona get coil-overs id def. buy them.

Lowering?

So whats reasonable lowering distance so I wont have this huge gap and also wont have to buy camber plates?I'm gonna go with the KYB struts , I haven't decided on how much of a drop I want.

Re: Lowering?

blackrob

i saw someone on H&Rs (1.3-1.4" drop) and it didn't look impressive (dropwise). However, H&Rs give you best ride quality, especially with AGXs or other quality shocks/struts.

i saw another .org member on intraxs (i think) 1.7" drop, now that looked sweet!!!!!!

2" or more and you'll need cambers. If you want your tires to last, you'd need to have an alignment done after you drop your car.

If you're concerned about ride quality, you won't be happy with a 2" drop. So it all depends on what you'll be happy with.

I'm gonna get GC coilovers so I can choose my balance of drop & ride quality. With AGX adjustables .... *drool*
