Anyone have second gear slam into gear on your maxima?

It only slams if you simply accelerate in first gear and let go of the gas pedal fast. At higher speeds from 20-40 on first gear it slams into gear shift if you let go of the gas pedal completely.

Check your motor mounts. Check the value of the drop resistor.
When the transmission is cold, it does shift a little harsh into 2nd under light to normal acceleration for the first few miles. Amsoil tranny fluid helped smooth that out for me.

The problem is a loose nut behind the wheel.:rotz:

Trans fluid pressure. It thinks you're going to shift under power. Get a valve body upgrade, synthetic fluid and fuild cooler. Perhaps you need a stickshift?

Yes I do need the mount in bottom middle of engine. Could that be the cause?
