where does this vacuum line go
where does this vacuum line go
After doing some inspecting of vacuum lines under the hood trying to track down cause of bad idle. I found a disconnected hose.reconnecting it fixed the bad idle.
M I notice my canister purge valve (not the evap, pistol looking solenoid, the black mushroom shaped one near it) had three openings. Two are connected to something, the smallest one on the top is not connected to anything but a metal line that also connects nowhere. Where is it supposed to go?

I'm assuming it's this one ...

But at the same time, no metal line there ...
So, in this case
:
In any case, this should help a little: https://maxima.org/forums/4th-genera...im-w-pics.html

Actually it's to the left of your hand. The black circular object. Look up canister purge valve for 95 maxima on autozone you'll see it. The little vacuum line on the top. Where does it lead too cause I don't see anywhere it would need to fit
You should always include the year of your Maxima in your first post, and update your profile to reflect your year Max too. Emission related equipment can be slightly to drastically different from 95 to 99. Based on your most recent posts, it appears that you have a 95 Max
Yea I've been trying to figure out how to have my max show on my profile. But yea it's a 95 maxima gxe 5 speed. I see under the throttle there is a line that is capped off. I believe I read somewhere it's supposed to be like that for whatever reason so that sill doesn't solve the canister purge valve mystery that I'm trying to solve. I've shown others who even they couldn't figure it out and there more experienced than me..lol
If uou look carefully, there is a little hose coming from the tps sensor side a little evap hose on a evap lines. I believe in that pic under your hand there's a little black hose it goes into the intake box.
Thanks for the ^^^^ comment. I couldn't make sense of it at first but I ended up going to the Jy and looking at my model maxi and put two and two together though.
Incase in the future people have the same issue, under the tps there are 3 metal vaccum ports that have vaccum lines hooking up too 3 different things. The one I was in search of was the left-most port, which runs vaccum for my evap system.
