'Spose I'll Need To Recalibrate My TPS?
Let me qualify by saying that I have zero reason to believe there's any malfunction.
However, I've been quite involved in an injector fix and while the car has been apart I've been taking care of a good number of other things that one just takes care of while his car is apart. For some damn reason I thought it would be a good idea to remove my TPS before I realized I really had no reason to remove it. Simply based on the removal and immediate re-installation of the sensor, do you guys suppose I'm gonna need to recalibarate it? |

No doubt you'll need to accurately mount that TPS. Measuring the resistance of pins 2 & 3 on the potentiometer before removing it is one procedure to get it mounted back to within it's same range. Another way to readjust it using a feeler gauge on the CTPS (Closed TPS) switch. This bulletin defines that procedure

Using the tip you gave me a few weeks back I removed those phillips headed brass bolts on the FPR and inserted allon headed bolts. Not enough clearance room to mount hex headed bolts in there. |
