I'm working on it...

I just don't have a lot of time between work, grad school and my GF, so it's going slowly. I still have to fit the reflector to the housing and figure out a good way to align the reflector.

Until Albertt gets off his duff and does something ( ) the only easy 9004 to h4 upgrade involves purchasing an I30 and then going to www.nis-knacks.com and buying the H4 headlights that go in the Cefiro (non-U.S. I30).......

Do these fit on easily or do you have to customize your front end to get them to fit?

Well, as long as you have an I30 and NOT a Maxima, it's plug and pray.

Otherwise it's several grand in body work converting the Maxima front end and then installing the headlights.

filaments in h4 bulbs are longitudinal
9004 filaments are transverse. a lot of light will be wasted simply because they arent designed for the h4 bulbs.

do this test at night. take your bulb out of your headlamp and turn it on. slowly stick the bulb into the headlamp housing. you will see that the light pattern will become "sharper" (sharp by the maxima's standard, that is).

if you "fit" the h4 bulb into the 9004 housing only a small portion of the h4 bulb's filament will be aligned with the headlamp reflector. the rest of the filament will cause dazzle and glare.

I'm talking about the bulbs has three prongs on it and it's not fitting right into the headlight housing.

I don't want to destroy my beam pattern though. Even though I want them.
