That's easy...

Take a credit card and run it under your pinstripe the whole way. They wash and wax the car and you won't even know they were there. I did mine a few months ago and IMO think it looks much cleaner.

You could even use a blow dryer or heat gun to soften the adhesive up as you go along.

I took mine off with a hair dryer. They pealed right off. Then I use a 3m product called adhesive remover. Takes the glue right off.

Take it OFF

I also took mine off with a hair dryer. Just pealed off, sometimes it broke where it wasn't heated, but just heat it up and it will come right off. Then u HAVE to buff it out. But it looks a lot better.

i work at a local used car dealer and took the stripes off several cars. hair dryer is a big help, sometimes itll peal right off in strips sometimes itll tear off in small peices being a big pain in the a$$. i took it off on my last car and it left kinda a stain in the paint. you could see a slighty dif shade where the stripe was. so it might be a a easy job maybe not worth the aggrivation. give it a shot, max looks better without it

What color was the last car?

I'm imagining that on a white car, you aren't going to notice it, because oxidation doesn't show on white cars as much.

Hence the term: Resale White.

Mine pin strip was painted on. I had a body shop take it off for me. He used some type of round looking thing that looked like an eraser. It took it right off.

I have a black SE that came with a pin stripe on it. I'm not particularly fond of it, but I'm afraid if I take it off, even after I remove the glue there will be a pinstrip of a different shade of black on the car...

What are the chances of that happening, and if it does, how to I get rid of that?

chances are that you will have that pinstripe in a different color when u take them off. the best way to take them off is by using a clay eraser i guess.......or u can heat up the glue and then wipe, wipe hard

I left my car out in the hot sun for a couple hours to heat it up, then carefully ran a plastic putty knife under the pin stripe. A citrus-based cleaner cleaned off the adhesive residue.

My car color is Granite Pearl, a dark metallic grey-purple color. The paint under the stripes was a tad darker than the rest of the car at first, but after a week or two, I can't tell a difference. The car looks cleaner without the pin stripe. In fact, I wish I'd never asked the dealer to put one on in the first place. Good luck.

My car is Neptune blue with a tan pin stripe.
Yesterday I broke out the hair dryer, clay bar, polish, and wax.
2 Hours later my car looks dramatically better without it.
I think without the pin stripe it makes the car look shorter as with it the pin stripe goes forever. I will post before and after pics later tonight.
