Turn signal wire

Can anyone tell me what type of plug this is or how to remove the wires from it? One of the wires is broken just behind the plug and I need to rewire it. Do I need any special tools to remove the wires as they are right now?

If you're in a hurry, go to your local Radio Shack and ask for terminal de-pinning tool kit.

Otherwise, these kits can be found on Amazon, Ebay etc

Nope, you remove the wire from the back of the connector

How?

How do I remove it? I've tried just pulling which didn't work nor did a screwdriver in the back side. Do I need to find a small enough spoon to slide around the back side?

The wire has a small female pin crimped on it that locks into the connector with a flaired piece of the pin. If you push the wire into the plug from the back and can somehow push it back to the center it will slide out.

IMO, I wouldn't waste my time trying to pull out the pin on that connector. Get a used connector from the junkyard and buttsplice it in or just bypass the connector for that particular broken wire using some T-taps and some spade connectors. Or try sticking a small piece of wire in the hole before putting the other connector on to see you get a good connection then.
