Is there any resale value for an automatic trans out of my I30T?

I am wondering if I should list my transmission with factory LSD on Craigslist or should it be thrown away?

I am in Hawaii, so I doubt anyone on the mainland would want to buy it.

Throw it away? Are you nucking futs?

I'm sure someone would gladly pay for that rare gem. Those are hard to come by in the contiguous states.

Anything wrong with it?

The problem is, there are no Maxima fans out here in Hawaii, or at least on the Big Island. Nothing wrong with it, I just swapped to a manual trans, about 80% way thru and not going back to auto.

It came out of my 1996 I30T with 170k miles.

I just posted it on Craigslist for $75.

I guess I should throw in both CV axles too (nothing wrong with either).

Any idea what shipping would be to CA? If the price was right, I'd gladly take it off your hands.

That's a good question. I never shipped anything heavy between Hawaii and the mainland. I only shipped heavy stuff between the islands here. I know to ship something like that to Oahu would be around $50.

I'll have to check FedEx freight and UPS to see what it would cost.

Have any enlisted buddys relocating to the west coast?

I realize you're on the big island vs Oahu but figured you still might know someone or know someone who does.

How heavy do you think the transmission is? I need to estimate the weight for quotes from FedEx and UPS.

If I did send it out, I imagine the trans and shafts need to be palletized too.

I don't know anyone in the military on Oahu.

Someone in Hawaii will be needing your transmission soon. You just need to find them. Yes, ,Craigslist.
You might need to run the ad several times. The 75 dollar price is way too low. No point advertising the limited slip feature in Hawaii though.

Guys in the northern of the 48 states would like your transmission I'm sure.

At the very least you could get scrap metal prices. But why?

I'd say about 225lbs.
