Anypone you have one, feel a difference? What about Dyno results? I don't care if there is a torque gain because i'm getting a protorque converter, thanks.

i think you need to have a lot of mods already to notice them, but stock or with few mods, you probably wont notice it.

I haven't seen any Dyno tests. But I put my UDP on after I already had a Stillen hi-flow intake and full catback exhaust (stillen). I noticed that the car pulled harder at around 2.5K or 3K rpm after I put the pulley on. I don't know what mods you've done so far, but from reading everyone's posts, I would have put the Y-pipe on before the pulley. But I came upon this site after the fact. There definitely is an increase, but the Y-pipe (which is my next mod) will provide more power for the money. Do the Y pipe and then do the pulley. Just my 2 cents.

Not enough gains for the cost or any at all.

Do you have one? At least tell me you have HAD one or DO HAVE one before posting that. I have one and it's not a big gain (depends on the buyer's view of money if he/she thinks it is worth the price) but it does free up power and the car pulls harder/quicker at WOT starting at around 3K rpm. I agree that the Y-pipe, CAI, and some other mods should be done first. But you can't say that the pulley does NOTHING. If someone's going to supercharge, it's a total waste of money to buy the pulley then. Otherwise, I have no regrets buying my pulley. Any power gain is worth it to me as long as the price is within reason.

Another UDP thread.

I love the way people who haven't driven a car with them know they don't work. I wish I had these physic powers.

They do work, however, take care of all of the major power mods first. Intake and Exhaust will get you a lot more power than a UDP will.

Once you drive a car with one, you will believe...just ask theblue

so in essense if you have all the power mods such as y pipe, intake, exhaust.. it does nothing..

another note.. whenever your car goes WOT.. the ECU automatically stop using power accessories such as A/C and other things.. so the UDP does NOTHING

0 gain Sir..

i don't care what you can feel.. you can put an RT CAT on your car and you feel power on High end and its giving you 1 hp..

catback.. you know how they feel great on High end.. how it feels the catback gives you 50 hp..

wow a catback gives you 2 - 5 hp..

amazing huh? just because you feel somethign doesn't mean its doing anything..

Very true ([EDIT]To a point. The ECU shuts off the AC, but the alternator and power steering (2 of the three things run by the UDP) are still running[/EDIT]), however, the engine still has to turn the weight of the pully on the end of the crank shaft. If you lessen that weight you increase the speed and power that is transmitted to the flywheel and eventually the wheels.

Its physics, not rocket science.

having just installed this on my car, i am not going to say that it did not cause a difference. yes it was minimal, but it was noticable esp. at low end. now from a stand still i KNOW and FEEL the difference that it caused. the car revs quicker through the gears which was noticed not just by me but even couple of my friends who were in the car. i havent been to the dyno yet, but i think its safe to assume that it caused a difference for the better. would i get it if i didnt have the mods i have now, nope... but once u get basic bolt ons, i think it helps more. all thats left is me trying it out at the track which wont be for another couple of months, so we'll see what happens.

Yeah, and don't forget the weight reduction gains you feel because your car is much lighter (less bills and coins in your wallet).

Another inaccurate statement. Who would use cash for mods? I use my debit card, meaning that the weight stays the same.

but the debit card weighs .00000001 lbs.. which means that that .0000001 lbs is affecting the performance of your car some how.. its minimal .. but it is

Good point. I should leave my wallet at home next time I go race. Hell, if you really want an advantage, drive naked.

Just wondering why the heck you posted yet ANOTHER thread about this... as if you couldn't glean all this information from the 2348923423089234092834^34 threads that were already posted on this subject... Or did you just want to get another fight going between ejj, brian and sprite?

Thats my motto. On the Pike video I was able to keep up with all of the modded Max's because I reduced the cars weight. Everyones adding, adding, adding and not doing anything for weight reduction.

All it will do is free up the hiden HP from your engine but not much.
