De-k swap not running correctly (lean or rich)
Hey guys I did a De-k swap in my 99 Maxima and Im having issues with it running lean and running rich. Any ideas?

The reason for that is mainly the injectors in the DEK engine. they are bigger than the ones in the old DE engine.
I suggest getting a tune for it so you wont be running too rich or too lean. Its any one of those VAFC2 VTEC control air/flow fuel controllers, emanage, Apexi, etc or any other brands. Thats unless you already have one |
You probably have a vacuum leak if its going back and forth between running lean and rich.
The dek injectors aren't that much bigger in the grand scheme of things, so the ECU does a pretty good job of compensating in regular driving. Once you go heavy load/full throttle you will run rich and that is where the tuning devices mentioned earlier come into play. |
