Just wondering the average life of one ? do you guy a new one or have it rebuilt ?

Tranny life is directly porportional to how it's treated. Treat it bad, it will die. Treat is nice, it will live for a long time.

I second that. all depends on how you drive. Let the Synchros do their job it should last a long time ... only costs you a bit in clutch.
