Cd Player Question

I remember seeing this question a while back, but I couldnt find the thread. Anyway, there is a loud whine coming from my radio. It only happens when the radio or cd player is playing. The wierd thing is that it corresponds to the throttle. The more i hit the gas, the louder the whine becomes. Anyone have ideas on what is causing this and how to fix it? Thanks

I know what you're talking about but I get the noise when I have the climate control on. after I turn it off, its quiet once again.

Your wires for the stereo are too close to some power wires, most likly touching. remove your stereo and seperate all wires(block of wires) independently.

Check all your grounds. That noise is alternator whine, and if a ground is loose, that's the noise it makes.

I dont know if the 4th gens are the same....But I had this exact same problem when I put new CD player and speakers in my 3rd gen Max...The problem was the stock BOSE system amplifiers for the speakers...I had to by-pass the amps and then the noise was gone...Try posting this in the audio fourm, you'll probally get more respones
