hey guys sorry for this but i read the offset for dummies and still unsure lol ok everyone knows the offset is like 40mm on the stock 16s for 99s which is same for the 15s and i have had 15 blades on before and never had problem but im going with bigger tires alot bigger actually but in reality only 3 inches taller. Current are 26" tall, the one's im going with are 28.8". I noticed when u add bigger tires the offset has to change to accommodate bigger tires, either with spacers or different wheels. The wheels im wanting to run are 15x7 5x4.5 lug pattern same as ours ok. Offset is whats confusing me cause i'm wanting to run 235/75/15s. I know your like wtf why so big for and they wont fit but i assure you they will. Especially with a lift i found for it but. If i'm adding these tires what offset do i need the new rims to be to accommodate these huge *** tire.

The offset for dummies suggested this with 7" rims for offset 14+ but i'm not sure if i can follow that with the rims actual offset or adding a spacer ect.

Can someone please clear this up cause apparently now days no one understands this i've bugged over 15 people tonight lol After i get an answer i will remove this thread to help out with unwanted threads!

Not likely you'll get someone with a similar situation. Most Maximas are high enough from the factory.

doubt you're going to get much of an answer to this. not sure many people have run something with that large of a diameter except the guys who put like 22s on their cars.

that said, please post pics once you've done this, i gotta see it. how come you want to run tires 4" larger than stock? are you doing this with stock suspension height?

Irregardless of using a lift kit or not, a 27.5" tire height is going to be as tall as you can go. Forget the fact that a tire any taller will not fit under the spring perch, but that you WILL rub the frame both fore and aft of the suspension centerline while turning the wheel. My 99 I30 had 225/65/16's of the stock 16" Maxima 5 spokes. I also have a set of Kosei K1's that are 15x7 with a +32 offset with 225/70/15's. Yes you can go to a lower offset to avoid frame rub, but know that your tires will be sticking out well past the wheel well. If you are okay with that look then go for it.

yea what im trying to avoid lol why im trying my best to get the best offset i can close to what i need it for. I can add spacers but again mover tire further out and means well hell will rub like hell and means saw saw time and idk if im down to hack on it like that lol thanks for input guys
