97 Maxima shut off problem

Hey everyone!

I have a 97 Maxima GLE 3.0L 4-speed auto that stalls when returning to idle and when slowing down. It runs fine at higher speeds but is a pain to drive in town.

So far i've replaced the,
Fuel Pressure Regulator
Fuel Pump
Fuel Filter
Idle Air Control Valve
PCV Valve

I'm lost as to what it could be,
Any ideas?

Thanks!!!

I hope you cleaned (not replaced) the IACV...unless there was something known defective about it...?

Suggest clean the Throttle Body...remove it and clean both side of the blades w Throttle Body cleaner. Replace TB Gasket.
Suggest clean MAF w MAF Cleaner (not any other product). Remove it and spray both sides of the sensing wire. Don't touch the wire w anything except the aerosol-borne MAF cleaner.
Status of air cleaner?

Are you doing this work yourself? The "other" thing to do "first" is clean the EGR guide tube - this is not "hard" but it is more involved...

I did replace the IACV, I cleaned it and there was no change, the throttle body and MAF was cleaned when I had it in the shop a month or two ago, where is the egr guide tube and where should I go from there if that doesn't work. I'm doing most of the work myself.

Search "egr guide tube" on this forum
Consult the FSM link at boredmdr

Is your air filter clean?

TPS and/or MAF ...

With all due respect, a clogged EGR guide tube doesn't result in a stalling condition and really doesn't affect drive-ability at all.

I'm not due any respect - I'm only repeating what others here told me to do when I showed up here with similar problems.
