Hey, for the past two weeks or so I have had a hard time starting my car. Once it's running it's fine but when starting, it cranks for a long time and then will finally start. It also keeps spitting out codes for the cam position sensor and the crank position sensor. I,ve tested everything (sensors, ecu grounds, set the tps and base idle speed, etc.) I am supecting a broken wire where the engine harness runs over the rear valve cover. Has anyone had this problem or heard of this?
Try this procedure:
Before starting the car, turn the key to on and wait two or three seconds (you will hear a whirr and a click). Then start the car as normal. Should fire up each time.
I had poor starting problems with Costco gas a while back...don't use it anymore. Try switching gas brands and see if that helps.
