Car cranks faster with 34R battery.

Just got a 34R battery a few weeks ago after doing some research on the maxima.org and other places and found out that the 34R batter is stronger and better than 24F and 35 group batteries. The crank amps the 34R interstate are 800 cold cranking amps and 1000 cranking amps in warm weather. This is the strongest and most efficient battery for our cars and the most expensive as well as it costs 254.95 to 282.95 on interstates website. I got mine at costco for 83.99. If you have slow starting issues, this will definitely help. Every morning my car would crank slow but now no more. After 4 weeks it no longer cranks slow as it starts under a second.

Thanks for the information.

Nice to know that this is an upgrade at a reasonable price.

24F, 34R are just size designations. Along with the bigger size, sometimes comes more CA and CCA.

You can get 24F batteries with 800 CCA...

I'm not really getting the point of this thread. Maybe you had a weak battery before? So of course installing a brand new spanking battery is going to help. Even a brand new 500 CCA battery may have performed better than your old one, and you'd be saying the same thing.

How many CA and CCA did the OEM battery come with?

My first battery had low Cold Cranking amps which were 700 and the battery was interstate one year old also low CA which was 875. So with the 34R having 800 CCA and 1000 CA surely made a big difference for me.

In terms of size, how much bigger are the 34R batteries compared to your interstate?

Yeah, I used both 35 and 24F, sticking with 24F. Something is wrong with the car if it responds to the group size.

Back in the day, if you didn't have an Optima, you weren't cool (and it didn't fit without adapters). Today? Just go to Costco, pay the $83, and get an Interstate, it starts the da** car! And free hassleless replacement in 42 mos. 700 CCA @ 0F is more than good enough, 130 RC.
