1999 maxima antenna replacement

What is the best and cheapest way to replace a power antenna with a fixed antenna.

Remove the powered antenna's motor/gear box assembly. The antenna cable will mate up with the new non-powered antenna you buy. Use a pair of needle-nosed pliers to remove the retaining nut on the outside of the fender or a small screw driver and gentle taps from a mallet careful not to mar your paint. A cheap fix antenna can be had for probably $20 USD. A replacement mast if your motor still works would be about $25 USD or so.

i purchased a used power antenna from a member for about $20 just looks better to me plus i wanted my antenna down when not listening to the radio.
