Stillen does not make a cold air intake, last I checked. I would go with the place racing cai or jim wolf pop charger. Avalon Racing has them for about $100 shipped. Their web address is www.avalonracing.net

What? I've heard nothing but people saying things like "I just got rid of my pop charger for a PR CAI.. Thank god, it's sooo much better" etc..
Although, I have also heard the argument that the pop charger is better on the top end. *shrug* I order a PR CAI a month ago and am still waiting for it.

CAI is better for low end, correct.

But then top end you lose out.

I rather sacrifice some low end loss and get better top end. It's not like our cars are torqueless wonders like Hondas. Even with the popcharger, my low end is still pretty impressive. And with the popcharger, my top end is now a lot better.

Where on the top end do you feel the difference? Above a certain RPM? Or above a certain MPH? Which would be better for 1/4 then the CAI I thought but depending on where in the power band it becomes worse off really changes that idea then.

This is my own personal opinion and experience: I say it's better at above 3-4K rpms. But this holds true for the CAI also I think.

And I also think that above 40 mph is where I start picking up speed.

I guessing here... I never really paid that much attention to it.

I agree 100%, I had a Place Racing CAI and got rid of it for a Weapon R dragon intake (popcharger) I like the pop charger a lot better! With the CAI I lost a TON of top end power and didnt even feel like I gained that much low end. With the pop charger I may have lost a little bit of low end but the top end is great. Around 3K rpms I hear it kick in and the car just starts pullin, its a great thing! TakeCare

Yeah, you guys got robbed! With warpseed, you get in in 3 days, tops, pay 60 bucks less for the same exact thing, and get incredible customer service. Suckers! Ha ha

I thought I was the only one fighting for the cause of the popcharger here!

I think it's just gunna have to be YMMV on each item. I mean, I read a lot of stuff before deciding to pop for a PR CAI and also talked to people in my local max group. It is kind of disheartening to hear people bad mouthing the CAI but I dunno. I mean, I'm not going to 1/4 mile times here, I'm looking for a good pull onto the freeway, so maybe I made a poor decision. Dunno.

I might order a JWT popcharger, or buy one off someone and try it out first since it's not a difficult one to install. See how that is before I cut a hole for the CAI. I'm a student tho, and don't have tons of cash laying around to experiment with this stuff. The $$ for the CAI came out of xmas money.

If you already have the CAI, it's pretty easy to turn it into a popcharger. Just hook everything up to the MAF but instead of using the long tube into the wheel wheel, just attach the filter... taadaa!

Popcharger.

i actually think the cai may have a piece you could use, if not its just a metal ring, you can make it for cheap, pay $15 on ebay, and summit racing has them also

I support the POP charger idea. At least you don't have to worry about driving in big puddles of water.
