What should be plugged in here? (pic)

Hello,

I am new to the Maximas. I noticed something unplugged next to the battery in my new-to-me 4th gen. Does anybody know what this is for?

Thanks,
uFluidics

That is for some option that was not installed on the car. Being taped to the harness is the tip-off.

But you should be more concerned about the wires that are being squashed on the hood stop. these will eventually short out on the hood. Those are not factory wires, somebody did something and did a half-azz job of routing the wires.

Thanks! And good observation; I'll look into it and try to fix PO's poor routing.

The 2 wire plug is for the factory security system hood pin switch. The other single wire looks to be for an aftermarket hood pin switch which is broken.
