Thanks everybody for the posts about the different shades of blue. It appears to me that it is just a shade or two difference between them. I have a couple more questions pertaining to the '98-'99 SE 5spd. I would like to find one with a sunroof and abs. Now in order to get these features did one have to buy other packages? For example, leather, climate control, things of this nature. Also did any Maxima come with a limited slip differential, or was it only available on an automatic? Thanks for any help you can give me.

Chances are that an SE with ABS and sunroof will have Bose and leather as well and possible even digital climate control, too. I'm not saying that every SE will be like that, but alot of them will. I have come across 1 SE that had cloth and manual climate control. It also had no abs and no sunroof. SO, they tend to come with the basics or fully loaded. In-between is tough.

All Maximas produced with the factory leather option will have the climate control. This was and still is part of the leather seating package. It's are to find a 5 speed with ABS period. When you do do find it, its usually on a fully loaded 5 speed. However it is possible to find ABS with any combo of options since it was not dependant on ordering any other options.

 

As far as your limited slip differential question: You're right - it was only offered on the automatics...(called traction control). You can't get it on the 5 speeds...

I have a 98 5-speed SE and all it has is the non Bose 100 watt cd changer, and factory alarm system... no ABS, no sunroof, no climate control, no leather

But it was a really good deal when my family bought it... 19k brand new

 

Ouch. Mine is an SE with Bose, ABS, Sunroof. I dont have the digital control for heat and stuff btu at least I was lucky enough to get some stuff.
